Dear Hillary,
Our straw bale work is not luxury, but for developing low cost, hand fabricated earthquake proof housing. See http://youtu.be/1Nf4ERYk8jM . Does this interest you?
Alex

Subject: [GSBN] Call for Straw Bale Projects - Design Bureau Architecture Special Edition - Don't Delay

Hello GSBN Members:

Here's a great opportunity to have your work featured, and also get straw bale in front of a large number of designers, developers and homeowners. Sounds like Hillary wants to pitch this feature to her editors as soon as possible, so don't delay in sending her an e-mail with any questions or expressing interest. Thanks!

My name is Hillary Thornton and I'm with Design Bureau Magazine. We are a luxury design publication based in Chicago, but we distribute throughout the United States and Canada. We feature and highlight the best of all facets of design and have had the pleasure of featuring Arkin Tilt Architects in the past! We are currently working on our Architecture Special Edition issue and I reached out to David to see if his firm would be interested in potentially being featured again. He presented the idea of Design Bureau writing a feature on straw bale construction, generally, which I think is a fantastic idea!

I would like to put this straw construction idea up for feature consideration as soon as possible. If you would like your firm to be involved, please let me know right away! I would like to schedule a short, off the record phone call with you (maximum 20 minutes) and learn more about your firm and recent projects.

Additionally, our Architecture Special Edition comes out just once a year, and the Special Editions are great because they are larger and more like coffee table books (about 400 pages), so we have a great opportunity for larger spreads and editorial features, which we're very excited about. You can check out our latest issue here: http://issuu.com/alarmpress/docs/se4_complete_singlepage?e=1822402/6356270

If you would like to be involved, please email me at hillary at alarmpress.com<mailto:hillary at alarmpress.com> right away!

Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you!
