The Spokane and Ellensburg chapters of the Northwest EcoBuilding Guild, www.ecobuilding.org,  have extensive experience building with bales. Both chapters have been active many years giving seminars and hosting work parties. The Ellensburg lot are excellent hosts, theirlinda at smartarchitecture.com day ends with a feast, one or two kegs of local microbrew and the occasional bluegrass band. Hard times.
