I'm going to wait to see other responses to WatJohn's comment before I
throw in any pennies but I did wonder if there is any interest in trying
to sweet-talk good 'ol' Wild Bill-bob Christensen into implementing a
filter that would automatically truncate messages to this List once any
individual message reaches a threshold (say 30 kb as a point of departure
for the purposes of discussion ?) so as to avoid the problem that we saw
recently on this list.

I doubt that even DEsert David (hihowarya eh ?) would compose a message
that could exceed 30 kb even after his having ingested a gallon of
espresso before sitting down to type (but you won't catch me placing a
wager on that point).
