Hi all,

I just thought I’d let you know I am now home safe and sound form the European Strawbale Gathering in France.  Wow it’s a long flight home to Australia and while I’m battling the jet lag I’ve been reflecting on what a fantastic experience it was!

I had a great time at the conference and felt that the entire event was a huge success.  From my perspective the speeches were all well constructed, informative, intelligent and thought provoking.  The sharing of ideas and opinions in such a warm and friendly environment is such a pleasure for me.

The European committee are going strong and are planning to build the worlds tallest strawbale project. It will be a 7 storey building. It would seem that most of Europe are using strawbales in the ceiling meeting all the solar passive standards.

I met so many new strawbale builders from all over the world and would like to nominate two for our forum;
