Hi Everyone!

Back in September at the ISBC in Colorado I made a quick announcement that we had acquired TLS in the hopes of getting it going again. In the meantime we have been working with COSBA as a host non-profit organization and are close to making a public announcement letting everyone know that we are back.

I want to pre-empt that announcement by giving everyone notice on this list of our intentions and to also make a request.

We need you and your networks of natural builders to send us relevant content about your projects, associations, conferences and any thing else related to bale construction and the greater realm of natural building. We also welcome any editorial content, or guest editor appearances, as what was highlighted at the beginning of each issue in the past.

We want to bring back TLS stronger than ever! It has always been a great publication because it is raw, and we intend to keep it that way, with hopefully a few new twists. But most importantly, it will continue to reflect "on the ground" experience we all love to read about. And this depends on you, our community!

There is another part of this request and it is to ask that you tell us what you want to see and what is most valuable to you. TLS has always been a reflection of our incredibly diverse community so let us know how we can best serve you.

Look for an announcement soon, which may mean an email, or two, sitting in your inbox. We apologize ahead of time if you get it more than once, because we are using the old subscriber database, along with the good old list serves, such as this great one.

In the meantime, please send all TLS correspondence to tlseditor at thelaststraw.com. If you have questions about submission format, you can find it here. We'll have updated guidelines on the new site, but these will suffice for now.

We hope to hear from most of you in one from or another and hope to not disappoint with the revival of a great publication.

Best Regards,

Jeff Ruppert
