I would also support Pete's nomination.
As well as being a nice guy, and a straw bale expert, he would bring a touch of academic rigour to discussions on this forum - not saying that we don't have our fair share of clever-clogs on the GSBN, but in my experience he is very good at stopping to ask 'why' when people quote an established theory as fact.
