    <p>thanks to a EU-funded project called UP STRAW, an English

      language version of the German Straw Bale Building Guidelines (<i>Strohbaurichtlinie</i>)

      is now available (see attachment). Among other things, the

      approved approach for moisture-proof constructions with straw

      insulation may be worth a look. Thanks to Barbara Jones for

      support during proof reading of the translation. Feedback is

      welcome!</p>
