It was originally an intensive nursery producing herbaceous shrubs for landscaping schemes. He has been living in a small barrel-top caravan on his land for about 3 years now and has applied for planning permission to build a low-impact dwelling on his land on the basis that he will be able to support himself from the land entirely in 3 to 5 years. Having been turned down by Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Planning Authority he appealed to the Planning Inspectorate and a hearing was held on October 28<sup>th</sup> 2010. Shortly after the hearing the Planning Inspectorate received a number of complaints about the conduct of the Inspector. Following further investigation the original Inspector was removed from the case (this is the first time I have ever heard of this happening) and a new hearing was held on 27<sup>th</sup> January. This second hearing seem to proceed much more smoothly and so we are now awaiting the results of this appeal. A ‘<i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">Lammas 2’</i> group has now formed and the two organisations are working together to create a second ecovillage project in <st1:place w:st="on">West Wales</st1:place>. Lammas will provide legal and planning support as well as acting as a holding company for the ‘<i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">Lammas 2</i>’ group which in turn will locate suitable land, allocate plots and will run the proposed ecovillage with financial and management autonomy.
