[GSBN] Lignin from straw, for fire protection

It has been a loooong time since I last received an email via this forum.
I have a question which I think fits in though.

A colleague is working with wood fiber insulation.
He reckons that he is close to having developed a very environmentally
friendly fire protection for wood fiber insulation.
One of the products required is lignin from straw… yes believe or not

He does though have a hard time sourcing this lignin from straw.
Does anyone know where to find / source it?
