Hello Global Sustainable Building Network (and especially those in Northern California):

Next weekend we’re hosting a demonstration of Watershed Materials’ portable earth block making rig. https://watershedmaterials.com <https://watershedmaterials.com/>

This portable press was developed with a USDA grant, and among its goals is making it available to fire victims for rebuilding using local soils and at a lower cost. Watershed Block is also being manufactured commercially by Nuns Canyon Rock Quarry, who bought the large scale press just before Watershed founder David Easton passed away in February of this year. The demonstration will feature a range of speakers, including engineer and author Bruce King. RSVP to info at strawbuilding.org <mailto:info at strawbuilding.org>. Space is limited so don’t delay.

Please share with any engineers, builders, designers or others who may have interest. We’ll try to record the proceedings and share this with the network and beyond.

Hope you are all well!

David and Anni / ATA
