[GSBN] Mesh types and sources

Chris,

I have been using jute extensively, exclusively  for interior walls. 

Depending on the jute and the state of the earth plaster, it can very from an uphill struggle to a piece of cake. The best experiences we have are with a stiffened 10mm mesh jute used dry, in a really wet, before last layer. Preferably it is a two person job one prepares the full wall height (-50mm) strips our roll is 1.2m wide althoughI have also used 2m. Seems are overlapped roughly 50mm. One holds up the two top corners and the other uses a steel float (with rounded corners) to press it in. Once the whole strip is in we rub it in with a wooden float, adding some water and maybe a little fresh earth plaster to just cover the mesh. 

On a recent project we used polyester 8mm mesh basically it is easier to use due to its inherent stiffness. On the same project we had to fill out a really crooked wall 70mm. We used a stainless mesh attached to the wooden subframe to ensure there would be no mechanical problems as the plastered wall is 7.5m tall.
