My fear would be that people might be referring to acrylic modified plaster i.e. non-breathable thin tough flexible stuff that was used largely on chilli-bin (plastered polystyrene clad) buildings here and caused infinite problems, rather than plaster with added plasticisers in them (- such as lime?)
