[GSBN] Stone Veneer

Hi all,

Does anyone have any recommendations on applying an exterior stone veneer
over a SB wall?

I assume that a good detail would be to do 2 base coats of plaster on the
bales, then provide a 1" air gap between the plaster and the stones, eh?
But, how would one fasten metal ties to secure the stones?

Assuming the stones only go ~ 1/3 up the height of the wall, would it be
possible to install the stones directly into the SB plaster? (assuming that
the stone mortar would be lime-based), or is that still asking for trouble?
