Hello Global Balers, in particular those of the western Europe:

Our 18 year old son Austin graduated high school last spring, and has spent his summer on an informal wwoof of sorts in northern Italy, helping at a B&B, welcoming a newborn donkey, and picking tomatoes and now grapes.  For the first half of next month he's traveling to Florence, and then Paris; he has contacts and places to stay in both locations, plus La Rochelle.  After that he has hopes to travel to England and possibly Ireland, where he landed briefly on his way over, before returning to the states at some point.  

While he is a willing learner and worker, his primary goal and need is a roof over his head and perhaps a friendly someone to welcome him and point him at local points of interest.  I offered to query our global straw bale network, and he liked the idea, thus our note here.  Thanks everyone for allowing us to do so on his behalf.  BTW, he's been on more than a few bale-raisings, but is certainly no expert.
