Hello Baleheads Near and Far!

A couple reminders:

1) The annual California Straw Building Association (CASBA) Conference is next weekend, at Walker Creek Ranch in the San Francisco Bay Area. All are welcome; earth builder/inventor David Easton is our keynote speaker, and venerable Straw Dawgs Greg McMillan, Turko Semmes and Chris Prelitz will regale us with stories of the founding and early days of CASBA. Walk-ins are welcome, but we'd love it if you let us know are planning on coming, if not sign up in advance.

2) There's still time to register for and/or donate to Team CASBA of the Climate Ride CA 2013 fundraising bicycling adventure. CASBA member Pete Gang and I are riding with some friends, along with another 150 or so riders raising funds and awareness around global climate change. The ride is 5 days covering 320 miles through beautiful California redwoods, coastline and country roads. It's fully supported and there's no shame in hopping on the sag wagon. Donations to CASBA support the code chapter efforts and production of our revised detail book.

Thanks all … hope you're enjoying the emerging bounty known as Spring,

David
