I second the nomination for Doug Graybeal.  He would be a great addition to the group, He is very knowledgeable, with great insight and very well thought out proceedures.

I don't know Grant Steerzer well enough to make a confirming nomination,  I may be able to comment further or make a recomendation if needed as we proceed further into International conference planning here in Colorado.

Subject: [GSBN] Two new nominees

We received two new self-nominees to GSBN last week (people who attempt
to sign themselves up without an explicit invitation).

As it turns out, they're both from Colorado:

Grant Steerzer writes in response to my polite "who the heck
are you?" email:

You may know Dusty Szymanski of Gunnison Colorado, the current director
of COSBA.  The members of COSBA recently decided to host an
international conference next year provided one wasn't already being
planned by another organization.  If there is no objection from the
international community and planning proceeds, I would become the
organizational intern for the conference.  At this point I do not
officially hold the position as planning hasn't formally started, so I
understand that I shouldn't be added.  If you feel that I should be
once I do take the position, that would be great, but no problem
otherwise.  Thanks for your time and consideration!

and Doug Graybeal writes in response:

I understand your concern and need to keep it a small group.  Please
feel free to contact Laura Bartels and/or Dusty Szymanski who will
vouches' for me. I am an architect in Carbondale, Colorado who has
practiced for 35 years, I live in a straw bale home and have designed
two other that have been built, one of which is totally off grid.  I
helped Laura with her home and presented at the recent COSBA
conference.  Let me know if you need more.

Yeas or nays?
