G ' day Rikki

We have built several jumbo bale buildings now, most of them load bearing.

We did not do any testing as the engineers in every case felt that if the
standard bales could bear a roof etc then by extrapolation they saw no
problems with jumbo bales which are denser anyway.

We have used the following sizes:

2.4m x 1.2m x 900mm

2.4m x 900mm x 860mm

2.4m x 900mm x 600mm

We have had no problems with any of them and the oldest is now 10 years old.

The heights we have reached are around 6 metres in the case of the
Lethbridge Winery:

The Nalawalla Community Centre in Sydney is also load bearing:

And our latest is the hybrid jumbo bale house we are building and here we
used the bales on edge giving a finished wall of 700mm x 2.9m high:

Hope that helps

Kind regards
